Sarah Lancashire Husband: Meet Peter Salmon

Peter Salmon is a British television producer and executive. He is the husband of English actress Sarah Lancashire.

The couple has been married since August 2001. They got married in a low-key ceremony held at Langar Hall, Nottinghamshire. Her husband Peter Salmon proposed in New York during a holiday at Easter 2001.

They began dating in the summer of 2000, but they had met some years previously while she was playing Raquel on Coronation Street and he was working for Granada Studios, which produces the soap drama.

They welcomed their son, Joseph, in 2003. Peter Salmon is the Chief Creative Officer of Endemol Shine Group, a global content creator, producer, and distributor, directing the Group’s UK division and leading the company’s creative direction globally.

He was previously Director of BBC Studios, the corporation’s production arm, and before that held a number of senior BBC positions, including Chief Creative Officer of BBC Vision, effectively overseeing all of BBC television’s in-house programme production, and Director of BBC North.
