Former chairperson of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Sandra Douglass Morgan, is not Asian. She is of black ethnicity.

Morgan is American by birth but has African roots. She is of African-American ethnicity.
Morgan recently emerged as NFL’s first Black female team president with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sandra has lived in Las Vegas for over 40 years and her father served in the Air Force for several years at Nellis Air Force Base, until his retirement.

During her swearing-in speech on July 7, 2022, Sandra expressed her passion and confidence in the organisation and the city as a whole.

“I’ve served on a number of boards that have helped people throughout the region and the state, and I strongly believe that each one of us has a role to play in mentoring and supporting our community’s most vulnerable, and the responsibility that we share in this Raiders organization to make an everlasting and positive impact on this community,” she said.
“…I believe in the promise of the Raiders. Most importantly, I believe in your core values of integrity, community, and commitment to excellence. I will expect you to embody those and to hold me accountable to doing the same”, she added during her speech.
