Sam’s father, Pete Rockwell, is known for his roles in Changeling (2008), Frost/Nixon (2008), and The Club of Unique and Lonely Minds.

Sam Rockwell might not have found a career in Hollywood if it hadn’t been for his mother, Penny Hess. He made a brief theatrical debut as Humphrey Bogart in an East Village improv comedy sketch with his mother when he was 10 years old.
