Behind his success stands a family legacy deeply rooted in the world of hockey, with parents Paul Reinhart and Theresa Reinhart at its core.
Born in North Vancouver, Sam is the proud son of Theresa and Paul Reinhart. His father, Paul, carved his own path in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a distinguished defenseman.
Paul’s notable career saw him don the jerseys of the Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, and the Vancouver Canucks. His presence on the ice reached its pinnacle in the 1986 Stanley Cup Finals with the Flames, a testament to his skill and dedication to the game.
Paul Reinhart wasn’t just a standout player; he was a two-time NHL All-Star and a key member of Team Canada, clinching bronze medals at the World Championships in 1982 and 1983.
Unfortunately, chronic back problems plagued him throughout his career, leading to his retirement in 1990. Since then, Paul has transitioned into the world of finance, finding success as a stock market financier and promoter.

The hockey legacy doesn’t end with Paul; it extends to the next generation with Sam and his two brothers, Max and Griffin. Max Reinhart, Sam’s older brother, was selected in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames, continuing the family’s presence in the league.
The brothers shared the ice on the Ed Chynoweth Cup-championship team during the 2010–11 Western Hockey League (WHL) season and the 2011–12 season. Griffin Reinhart, the youngest of the Reinhart trio, was selected fourth overall in the 2012 draft by the New York Islanders.
He has faced off against Sam’s teams with the Edmonton Oil Kings, securing his own Ed Chynoweth Cup and Memorial Cup championships in the WHL from 2011–12 to 2013–14.
