He passed away on May 6, 2021, at the age of 20.

Jacob was found dead near the University of Texas Campus.
His cause of death was ruled as an accidental drug overdose.
A statement released by his family revealed that Jacob ingested himself with a dose of the prescription drug Xanax laced with Fentanyl.

Born on September 30, 1998, Sam attended Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, where he played as a quarterback under coach Todd Dodge.

As an high school player, he was an all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns.
On completion of high school, he got offers from Florida State, Houston, McNeese State, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech, and Wyoming.
He however, chose the University of Texas at Austin, where he played for the Texas Longhorns.
In his freshman year, Sam doubled as a quarterback and starter, and led his team to the 2018 Big 12 Championship Game as well as two bowl games.
In his sophomore year, Sam won the 2019 Heisman Trophy in December and was named the best quarterback in the Big 12 Conference.
In 2021, Sam was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.
