Saint Obi death: What happened to Saint Obi? – Obinna Nwafor, better known as Saint Obi, a veteran Nollywood actor, died on May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State, at the age of 57. Obi died after being hospitalized for an unexplained illness for several months, according to several sources.

Meanwhile, his remains are claimed to be at Jos University Teaching Hospital’s mortuary.
According to sources, his death was delayed for approximately a week owing to conflicts among his siblings.
Saint Obi was a prominent Nigerian actor, film producer, film director, and businessman who was born on November 16, 1965.

He has appeared in over 60 films and produced his first, Take Me to Maama, in 2001, in which he played Jerry opposite Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel, and Enebeli Elebuwa.
Born Obinna Nwafor, to parents Millicent Nwafor and Mazi Melford Nwafor, Saint Obi studied Theatre Arts at the University of Jos and began acting in 1996 in a Peugeot television commercial.
He will be best remembered for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime, and Last Party.
Saint Obi is survived by his wife Lydia Saint-Nwafor and three children.
