American mixed martial artist, Ryan Bader left the UFC after signing a contract with Bellator MMA. According to the sources, he signed unique contract provisions that “landed him the promotion.” He was a free agent since he won a KTO against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in November 2016.

Bader shared that he signed a six-figure deal that gives him full control over his money, unlike splitting between the show and win money when he was at UFC.

“I think it’s one of the better contracts out there, outside of being a UFC champion with pay-per-view points and stuff like that,” he said.
He also shared that the deal is an inactivity clause, and also Bellator has to book him to fight three times per year, and if the company does not, he still gets his full money to make up for it. Bader also shared that signing with Bellator will also attract more sponsorship for him and the organization.
