Roderick “Pooh” Clark Paralyzed: Which Hi-Five Member Is Paralyzed?

Singer Roderick Clark was involved in a car crash 30 years ago in Florida, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down and making him unable to walk.

Clark developed a lingering infection that spread through his body.

Clark, who was a member of the R&B group Hi-Five, died Sunday April 17, 2022. He died from complications from an infection and pneumonia at a hospital in Waco, TX. He was aged 49.

“Pooh was the most athletic of them all,” Martinez Little wrote on Facebook. “In basketball he could stand right under the basket and jump straight up and dunk the ball.”

Report say the group was a hit in the early 90s, scoring a No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991 with “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game).

Their next album Keep It Goin’ On came out in 1992 but was not as big of a success but the songs She’s Playing Hard To Get and Quality Time did well on the charts.

In 1993, the band came out with a new album, Faithful, that had the song Unconditional Love on it. The song did well and was on the Menace II Society soundtrack.

In 2005 another album, The Return, debuted.

Other members included the late Tony Thompson, Russell Neal and Toriano Easley.
