Williams spent five seasons as a Cowboy for Oklahoma State, redshirting his first season. In his redshirt freshman year, he was promoted to the starting lineup.

After allowing only nine pass completions and intercepting seven passes as a redshirt senior, Williams was awarded second-team All-Big 12 Conference.
