Griggs began her career as a child actor when she played Molly in Annie and hosted the Nickelodeon kids show Rated K.

Robyn Griggs had been battling cervical cancer and had been open about her health issues on social media, with Griggs posting last month that she had been diagnosed with four new tumours.

Robyn Griggs rose to prominence in the daytime soap operas One Life to Live as Stephanie Hobart, for which she received a Young Artist Award nomination and Another World as Maggie Cory.

After her soap roles, Griggs starred in such genre films as Severe Injuries (2003), Dead Clowns (2004), The Absence of Light (2006) and Hellweek (2010).
