Robyn Broughton obituary

Netball coach Robyn Broughton, who lived from 10 July 1943 to 6 September 2023, was from New Zealand. From 1998 through 2007, Broughton led the Southern Sting to seven National Bank Cup victories while serving as its coach.

In addition, she served as a national selector and assistant coach for the New Zealand national netball team from 2000 to 2002. Broughton spent four years as the Southern Steel’s head coach before taking over the Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship in 2012 until 2015. He then took over the Hertfordshire Mavericks in the Netball Superleague.

On September 2, 2009, in Adelaide, Broughton led a World 7 touring team that included retired or former New Zealand international players along with players from England, Jamaica, and Samoa. The matchup was a one-off test.
