Robert Cormier passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 33.

Robert Cormier was born on June 14, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario to Lisa Cormier, a lab technician and Rob Cormier, a small business owner.

Prior to graduating from film school in 2014, the Canadian actor Robert Cormier graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Fire and Engineering Extension Services and left a year before graduating from York University in Toronto for a World Economics degree to follow his dreams of becoming an actor.

Cormier is known for his portrayal of Kit Jennings in the Netflix Original Series, Slasher Solstice (2019), Finn Cotter in the CBC series Heartland (2021) and his supporting roles as Shane in Firecracker, which premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, Al in The Intersection (2019) and Otto in Pyrenees (2018). He also appeared in Ransom (2019) and Designated Survivor (2017).

He is survived by his parents Robert and Lisa Cormier, his sisters Brittany (Derek), Krystal, and Stephanie Cormier, his grandmother Joanne, and aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his grandfather Bobby, as well as his grandparents Connie and Keith.

Robert Cormier’s funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.
