Robert Cormier, who played Finn Cotter on the Canadian television series Heartland reportedly died on September 23, 2022. However, a cause of death was not revealed but Cormier’s sister Stephanie told The Hollywood Reporter that he died in a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario, due to injuries sustained in a fall. He was 33.

In his obituary, Cormier was remembered as “an athlete, an actor, and a great brother.”
Following Cormier’s death, UPtv, an American network that airs the CBC series, paid tribute to the rising star.
‘Robert Cormier, aka Heartland’s Finn, was an amazing talent, gone too soon. We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family, and co-workers,’ the network wrote on Instagram.

Heartland also paid tribute to the late actor through their Instagram account;
‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier. He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons,’ the post read. ‘On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time.’
Robert Cormier was born on June 14, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario to Lisa Cormier, a lab technician and Rob Cormier, a small business owner. Robert is the first actor/artist to come out of his family.
Prior to graduating from film school in 2014, Robert graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Fire and Engineering Extension Services and left a year before graduating from York University in Toronto for a World Economics degree to follow his dreams of becoming an actor.
Cormier is known for his portrayal of Kit Jennings in the Netflix Original Series, Slasher Solstice (2019) and his supporting roles as Shane in Firecracker, which premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, Al in The Intersection (2019) and Otto in Pyrenees (2018). He also has guest star appearances in Ransom (2019) and Designated Survivor (2017).
Robert Cormier is survived by his father Robert and mother Lisa, along with his sisters Brittany, Krystal, and Stephanie, as well as his grandmother Joanne.
