Before the 2017 campaign began, Robert agreed to an academy contract with Charleston Battery of the United Soccer League. On June 14, 2017, he made his professional debut as an 88th-minute replacement in a 3-2 loss to Atlanta United FC in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup.
