Who Is Robbie Lawler?
Robbie Lawler is a mixed martial artist who formerly participated as a UFC Welterweight Champion, and an EliteXC Middleweight Champion.
Born March 20, 1982, in California, Lawler began learning taekwondo at age 8, and karate at age 10.

He was a wrestler while he attended Bettendorf High School and earned All-State honors in wrestling.

Lawler turned pro in 2001 and made his UFC debut at UFC 37, where he won the fight against veteran Aaron Riley via unanimous decision.
So far, the multiple-championship winner has fought in Strikeforce, PRIDE, Sanford MMA, American Top Team, Miletich Fighting Systems, and the IFL, winning three consecutive “Fight of the Year” awards.
In July 2022, Lawler faced Bryan Barberena at UFC 276 and in December 2022, he was scheduled to face Santiago Ponzinibbio but had to withdraw as a result of an injury.
Lawler has a current mixed martial arts record of 46 wins and 16 losses.
