Robbie Coltrane had two siblings, Jane and Annie McMillan. Unlike Robbie Coltrane, his siblings have always kept a low profile hence, there isn’t much information about them.

Coltrane was the great-grandson of Scottish businessman, Thomas W. Howie and the nephew of businessman, Forbes Howie.

On October 14, 2022, Coltrane died at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Scotland at the age of 72. He had been ill for two years before his death.
Coltrane was a Scottish actor and comedian. He gained huge attention as Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series.
Coltrane was appointed an OBE in the 2006 New Year Honours by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to drama.
