Jaimee and Maiya are twins born on February 10, 2006 in London, to Rita Simons and her ex-husband Theo Silveston.

Maiya was born with Mondini dysplasia, an abnormality condition in the inner ear that often leads to hearing loss.

When she turned six months old, Maiya was diagnosed with ‘Enlarged Vestibular Aqueducts’ (EVA).

The twin sisters have developed a unique sign language, which allows them to communicate with ease.

When she was 12, Maiya’s parents got her cochlear implants which improved her hearing.

Jaimee and Maiya’s father Theo Silverston is an English professional hairdresser who specializes in haircuts, blow drys, short hair, and men’s hair. He is the owner of Kink Hair Salon.

However their mother Rita Simons is an English actress, singer, and philanthropist who is well-known for playing Roxy Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2007 to 2017.
