Rick Froberg Cause of Death

American guitarist and singer, Rick Froberg has been reported dead. According to sources, he died of natural causes on Friday, June 30, 2023. He was 55 years old at the time of death.

His death was announced by his fellow bandmate and longtime friend, John Reis.

“His art made life better. The only thing he loved more than art and rock and roll was his friends. He will forever be remembered for his creativity, vision, and his ability to bring beauty into this world. I love you, Rick. I will miss you for the rest of my life,” Reis wrote.

Born on January 19, 1968, Rick Froberg lived in Encinitas, California as well as Brooklyn. He was the singer and guitarist for the San Diego-area bands Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, and Hot Snakes. He performed alongside Reis, the Last of the Juanitas, Thingy, and Obits.

He was also a visual artist and illustrator who created album arts, promotional artworks, and merchandise designs for all of his bands as well as for Rock from the Crypt and Res’ Swami Records.
