Who Is Richard Sherman?

Richard Sherman is a retired football cornerback and a free agent, who previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Born on March 30, 1988, in California, Sherman had his college football career at Stanford, where he played as a wide receiver and later, cornerback.

Sherman was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2011. He is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a five-time All-Pro.

As of 2013, Sherman was one of the players with the most interceptions in the NFL, and helped the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl – Super Bowl XLVIII.

Sherman also led his team to a 43–8 win over the Denver Broncos, the third-largest victory margin in Super Bowl history.

Sherman remains one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time.

His NFL record shows a total of 495 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 116 pass deflections, 37 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 7 fumble recoveries, and 3 defensive touchdowns.

Sherman retired from the game in 2021.
