Richard Glossip Ex-Wife: Who Is Leigha Jurasik?

Leigha Jurasik is the ex-wife of death row inmate Richard Glossip, whom he married in 2018.

Leigha had testified against Glossip that she was used by him for financial gain, and the relationship had left her without any benefits.

“Glossip got exactly what he wanted, which was financing for himself while in prison,” Leigha had stated in an affidavit.

Their union was dissolved in 2021.

Who Is Richard Glossip?

Richard Glossip is an American prisoner currently on death row at Oklahoma State Penitentiary, following the murder of Barry Van Treese in 1997.

Born on February 9, 1963, in Illinois, Glossip’s case has attracted the attention of the international community due to lack of corroborating evidence.

With his lawyers on their toes, Glossip had continued to declare his innocence, despite being granted a stay of execution on three occasions.

Glossip has been on death row, while his accomplice Justin Sneed was sentenced to life without parole, for the killing of Barry Van Treese on January 7, 1997 at the Best Budget Inn in Oklahoma City.

Sneed’s fingerprints were found in the room, and he confessed to the crime, adding that Glossip hired him to do it.

Glossip is scheduled to be executed on February 16, 2023.
