Matt Olson stroked a ground ball toward Hoskins at first base. Hoskins bent and tried to backhand the ball, however, it hit off his glove, rolling into right field to score the first run of the game from second base.

The ball kept alive an inning that would end with the Phils in a three-run hole. The play was ruled an RBI single by the hometown official scorer even though it should have been an error.
