The alarming situation arose from a gas tanker left unattended for nearly three days, posing a serious threat to the area and its residents.
Videos circulating on social media depict the tanker partially submerged in a bush, with its head detached and gas still contained within. Concerns about a potential explosion have left locals on edge.
In an attempt to address their safety concerns and draw attention to the issue, residents resorted to using wooden materials to obstruct traffic flow along the vital highway that links Accra and Kumasi.

Responding to the urgent situation, the Ghana National Fire Service has been summoned to the scene to safely relocate the gas tanker and avert any potential disaster.
An eyewitness described the gravity of the situation, stating, “The road at Dadieso, on the Kwahu side, is completely blocked. No vehicles can pass to or from Kumasi. The community is on edge because a massive gas tanker has toppled over, and for three days, there has been no action from the Fire Service to address it. The fear of a gas explosion is palpable, hence the blockade.”
