Who Is Renato Gaucho?
Renato Gaúcho is a former Brazilian football player and current football coach at the Brazilian club Gremio.
Born on September 9, 1962, in Bento Goncalves, Brazil, Gaucho began his playing career as far back as 1979 with Esportivo in Brazil.

He played for Grêmio from 1981 to 1984, and from 1993 to 1997, and led the team to win the Copa Libertadores in 1983 and the Intercontinental Cup in the same year.

Gaucho ended up playing for several Brazilian clubs, including Flamengo, Botafogo, and Fluminense. He additionally played for Roma in Italy and Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
Upon retirement as a player, Gaucho began coaching Madureira in 2000. He has so far coached Fluminense, Vasco da Gama, Bahia, Gremio and Atlético Paranaense.
Gaucho recorded tremendous success coaching Grêmio at several instances, including helping the club reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2017.
Gaúcho is regarded as one of the greatest players and managers in the history of Grêmio.
