German actress, Renate Krößner died at age 75 on May 25, 2020, after suffering from a short illness. She was best known for her role as Sunny in the popular ’80s movie Solo Sunny.

Krößner reappeared in the limelight after being celebrated by Google today – May 17, 2023 – on what would’ve been her 78th birthday.

She was known for several movies and tv shows including Solo Sunny, Stubbe – Von Fall zu Fall, Feuer unter Deck, Way Home Summer in Alsace, Streetchild, Cyankali, Until Death Do Us Part, Angst, Anderst Schon, etc.

Krößner’s breakthrough internationally was in the movie Bis daß de Tod euch scheidet which was released in 1979. She played the role of a woman’s best friend in a film about violence in a young marriage.
In the late ’90s up to the early 2000s, she appeared in several movies and tv shows including North Curve, Alles auf Zucker!, Emmal Bulle, immer Bulle, and more. She won a Deutscher Filmpresis award for Best Actress for her role in North Curve.
