Rebecca Adlington is the daughter of Kay Adlington and Steve Adlington. They have both supported their daughter in her career as a swimmer however, there isn’t much information about them.

Rebecca Adlington made her presence in the 2008 Summer Olympics and competed in 400m freestyle and 800m freestyle in Great Britain.

She was rested in heat while she was scheduled to swim the 4×200 meter freestyle relay. The team could not make their way to the final.

She made the Commonwealth record in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:02: 24. Rebecca beat Katie Hoff of the US in the last 20 meters and won an Olympic gold medal on 11th August 2008.
Rebecca made her participate in forming part of the BBC presenting team for the swimming events at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio along with Helen Skelton and Mark Foster.
