Many people have expressed their condolences and sent heartfelt messages to his loved ones across social media platforms.

“Hearing the terrible news that Ray Stevenson – the best damn Punisher we ever had, and co-star of BIG GAME and RRR, two films I consider instant classics – is no longer with us. An incredible screen presence, taken far, far too soon. He’ll be dearly missed,” William Bibbiani wrote.

“Damn. So sorry to hear about the passing, far too young, of Ray Stevenson. I only knew him a little from shooting post-credits of Thor 2 & a couple of interactions at events, but we had some good laughs & he was a joy to work with. His friends and family are in my heart today,” DCEU Lead Director, James Gunn wrote.
Born on May 25, 1964, Ray Stevenson started his career in 1998 when he starred in the film The Theory of Flight. He played the role of a gigolo hired to help Helena Bonham Carter’s character lose her virginity.
