Ray Stevens Wife: Who is Penny Jackson?

Penny Jackson was the wife of American country and pop singer-songwriter and comedian Ray Stevens. The couple had two daughters  Suzi and Timi and four grandchildren.

Ray Stevens was married to Penny Jackson Ragsdale for over 60 years, until her death from cancer on December 31, 2021. He had cancelled his New Year’s Eve concert at CabaRay two days before due to Penny’s rapidly deteriorating health.

Ray Stevens is a two-time Grammy Award winner and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Christian Music Hall of Fame, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

Ray Stevens, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, preferred to keep his private life out of the spotlight. However, he attended his induction ceremony into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019 with his wife Penny.

Some of his hit songs include “Everything Is Beautiful” and “Misty,” and he is also known for other comedic tracks including “Gitarzan” and “The Streak.”
