Rashard was born in Mississippi, United States. He was an American Football League. He played for the Carolina Panthers from 2000 to 2001.

In his first NFL season, Anderson appeared in 12 games and recorded 21 tackles. He ended the 2001 season with 47 tackles and his only career interception in 15 games.
He also finished second in the NFL in fumble return yards (97) after Brian Urlacher and was tied for the most fumble return touchdowns.
Anderson later signed a contract with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in May 2005.
