Rapper Phyno Finally Reveals Why He Raps In Igbo (Video)

Nigerian Igbo musician, Phyno, has given more insights into why he made some changes regarding the languages he uses in music.

He made this disclosure when he was in an interview with Adesope live on Afrobeat Podcast. Phyno is well known for his English style of rapping alongside singing. However, he swapped to start rapping in his native language which is Igbo. In the interview, he cleared the air about his diversion to his fans to understand his agenda.

He indicated that his decision was influenced by the likes of his fanbase. However, he decided to choose Igbo in order to appeal to his people. This gives a clear understanding of how he cherishes especially his people and would want them to enjoy his quality songs.

The talented rapper made mention of some people in the industry who have had a positive influence on his decision to rap in Igbo. Phyno is also a Nigerian producer and was born as Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike.
