A former head coach of both professional and collegiate soccer, Randy Jordan Waldrum was born on September 25, 1956, in Irving, Texas. On December 19, 2017, he was chosen to lead the University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer team.

Waldrum guided the women’s soccer team at Notre Dame to two national championships in 2004 and 2010. The 2010 championship game was his 300th game at Notre Dame.

Waldrum was hired as the Nigeria women’s national football team’s technical adviser and head coach in October 2017. He was supposed to take over the team before the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualification competition. He declined the position, though, and was not named coach.
