A founding member of the Eagles and an American musician, singer, and composer, Randall Herman Meisner passed away on July 26, 2023. Meisner played bassist and backup high-harmony vocals as a group member and session musician throughout his entire professional musical career. He co-wrote and sang the lead vocals for the Eagles’ popular song “Take It to the Limit.”

In November 1963, the young couple welcomed a boy named Dana Scott Meisner into the world after he wed his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Lee Barton. Before divorcing in 1981, the couple welcomed twins Heather Leigh and Eric Shane Meisner into the world in May 1970.
In November 1996, Meisner wed Lana Rae, his girlfriend of twelve years. The couple was married till she passed away in 2016.
