Ralph Ahn Wife: Was Ralph Ahn Married? Who Was Ralph Ahn’s Girlfriend?

New Girl star Ralph Ahn was married and had two daughters. However, there is currently no information about his wife, girlfriend or dating history.  Ralph seems to be a private person. He died aged 95.

The actor, who played the fan-favorite role of Tran opposite Jake Johnson’s Nick on the popular American sitcom, died on 26 February, the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (Kafla) said.

Ralph Ahn was born in Los Angeles, California. His parents were amongst the first wave of Korean immigrants in 1902. They were the first Korean couple to immigrate from Korea to the US mainland.

Three years after his father’s death, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and the United States entered World War ll. In response, Ralph joined the U.S Navy in 1944 to fight the Japanese. He is one of an estimated 100 Korean-Americans who served over the course of the war.

After World War II, Ahn was influenced by his older brother, Philip Ahn, one of the first Asian American actors, and became an actor. Between 1964 and 1968, while on hiatus from acting, he taught Business Math and was the Head Coach of the Varsity Football team at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California.

Ahn gained national recognition as an actor in 2012 when he began portraying the recurring character Tran in season 2 of ‘New Girl’, a character which he continued to portray until the show ended in 2018.
