Ragga Ragnars, an actress from Iceland and former sprint freestyle swimmer, was born on October 24, 1984. She holds the 50- and 100-meter long course freestyle records for Iceland on many occasions. Ragnheiur studied acting after giving up swimming, and as of 2018, she has been portraying Gunnhild on the TV series Vikings.

Ragnars claims that she has always had a passion for acting and after giving up swimming, made the decision to pursue a career in it. She enrolled in a one-year program after taking an 8-week “Acting for Film” course at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, which she “loved”. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Ragnars made her Olympic debut as the youngest swimmer from Iceland (age 19).
