Who Is Rachael Levine?
Rachel Levine is a pediatrician and the current United States assistant secretary for health.
Born on October 28, 1957, in Wakefield Massachusetts, Levine is a four-star admiral in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
Levine is a Harvard University alumnus and also graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine.

She was a resident doctor at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, New York, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in adolescent medicine .

Levine now serves as a professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine.
She had previously held the position of physician general at Penn state, as well as secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Levine is a transgender who changed from male to female in 2011, and served as a board member of Equality Pennsylvania, an LGBT rights organization.
She is also the first openly transgender four-star officer in America’s eight uniformed services.
