He was a high school dropout who made significant success before his downfall.
It began in 1991, when the singer won the Big Break talent show, and took home a whooping sum of $100,000 prize, plus a contract with Jive Records.
As of 1995, he had sold 4million copies of his all-time hit single I Believe I Can Fly.
