Quinton Byfield Parents: Meet Clinton Byfield and Nicole Kasper

Born in Newmarket, Ontario, Quinton, affectionately known as “Big” Quinton Byfield, comes from a diverse background.

His father, Clinton Byfield, hails from Jamaica, while his mother, Nicole Kasper, is Canadian. From an early age, Clinton recognized his son’s passion for hockey and became his biggest supporter.

As Quinton embarked on his hockey journey, Clinton was there every step of the way, serving as his dedicated “hockey dad.”

In 2020, Quinton achieved a significant milestone when he became the highest drafted Black person in NHL history, thanks to the Los Angeles Kings organization.
