Quintana Roo Dune, daughter of American legendary writer, Joan Didion, has died and her cause of death has been revealed.

Quintana Roo Dune was born March 3, 1966, in Santa Monica, California, United States and died on August 26, 2005, at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She left behind her former spouse, Gerry Michael whom she was married to between 2003-2005.

Quintana Roo Dune was near recovery in 2004, however, she died in 2005 of an acute pancreatitis on August 26, 2005. Joan Didion, 87, married to John Gregory Dune in 1984 and they had one child.

Joan Didion was an American writer who launched her career in the 1960s after winning an essay contest sponsored by Vogue magazine. She won the National Book Award for Nonfiction and was a finalist for both the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and or Autobiography for The Year of Magical Thinking.
