For the New York Jets of the National Football League, linebacker Quincy Williams competes. In Birmingham, Alabama’s Wnonah High School was where he played high school football. Prior to being chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, he played collegiate football at Murray State University. The New York Jets picked up Williams off waivers on September 1 of that year.

The 98th overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft went to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected Williams. When Dante Fowler was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, the Jaguars previously received this pick. For the first several games of the season, Williams was selected as the outside linebacker starter.

Williams was placed on injured reserve on September 8, 2020. On September 30, he was given the go-ahead to leave the injured reserve and resume team practices. He becomes operational on October 10, 2020.
