Quentin Halys was born on October 26, 1996, in Bondy, France. He reached four Junior Grand Slam finals, three in doubles and one in singles. Halys won the 2014 French Open partnering Benjamin Bonzi.
Quentin Halys ended his junior career with a 98–44 record on singles and 83–35 on doubles. In 2010, he played in his first ITF Junior Circuit tournament at the G4 Tournoi International de Clermont-Ferrand, as a wildcard. He made his Grand Slam debut at the 2015 French Open as a wildcard.
In 2013, Quentin Halys reached four finals in doubles, including the US Open final. Quentin Halys entered as a wildcard in the 2016 Australian Open main draw where he defeated Ivan Dodig. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 84, a feat achieved on 23 May 2022.
Quentin Halys has won five singles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour and seven in doubles. He qualified for the first time at this Major in 5 attempts at the 2021 US Open. He reached the top 100 on 9 May 2022 after a quarterfinal showing at the 2022 Open du Pays d’Aix Challenger. He also participated in the main draw at the 2022 French Open.
