As non-working members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan will tour Nigeria in an unofficial capacity. They accepted an invitation from Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Gwabin Musa, during their visit to Germany last September.
The couple will meet with service members and their families and engage in traditional cultural activities during their visit.

The news of Harry and Meghan’s upcoming visit to Nigeria has been met with honor and delight by the country’s defence headquarters, according to local reports.
Meghan had previously shared that she discovered she is 43% Nigerian after a genealogy test a few years ago. She expressed her interest in exploring her Nigerian heritage further during a conversation on her podcast Archetypes with Nigerian-American comedian Ziwe Fumudoh.
This visit to Nigeria will mark the couple’s first official visit to the country together. It is scheduled to take place shortly after Prince Harry’s trip to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
