Pregnant Woman Allegedly Shot by ex-Boyfriend at Agogo

A pregnant woman is fighting for her life after allegedly being shot by her ex-boyfriend in Agogo, Asante Akim North Municipality.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, leaving the victim, identified as Amoakoaa Georgina, in critical condition.

According to reports, the suspect, who is Georgina’s ex-boyfriend, shot her at close range through the window of her room. Georgina was rushed to Agogo Presbyterian Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The victim’s husband informed police investigators about the incident, expressing suspicion towards a man named Obidi, who is believed to be Georgina’s former partner.

Upon visiting the crime scene near M/A Basic School in Adinkrah, authorities discovered blood stains in Georgina’s room and observed damage to the window at the back of the house.

Additionally, a wad of BB cartridges was found at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain the motive behind the alleged shooting and to apprehend the suspect responsible for the attack on the pregnant woman.
