The Ghana Police Service has escalated its efforts to unravel the mystery behind the brutal murder of two individuals in Maame Krobo, a town situated near Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region.

In response to the disturbing incident, the Police have deployed a specialized investigative team to augment the efforts of the Eastern North Regional Police Command.
This team, assembled from the Police Headquarters, comprises seasoned crime scene experts, homicide investigators, and undercover officers.
The victims, identified as nomadic herdsmen, were discovered with their heads severed, sending shockwaves through the community and sparking fear among its residents.

Maintaining close communication with the families of the deceased, the Police are actively engaging with community leaders to collaboratively address the situation and provide reassurance to the affected residents.
A statement released by the Police on May 30, 2024, urged the community to remain calm and assured them of ongoing efforts to ensure peace, security, and justice prevail.
“We urge the community to stay calm and continue supporting the Police as we strive to uphold peace, security, law, and order. We are confident that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be apprehended and brought to justice,” the statement read.
