Vicki Burress was the mother of Plaxico Burress. She passed away in 2002 at age 49.

Vicki had worked as a bus driver, a medical assistant and a gas station attendant, while raising Burress and his two brothers.

She had been diabetic, and as a result, her left foot was amputated. This led to an infection that spread quickly, resulting to her death.

Burress has “a chest tattoo with his mother’s name, a bow and the infinity symbol.”

Who Is Plaxico Burress?

Plaxico Burress is a retired football wide receiver who played for the New York Giants from 2005 to 2008, as a top receiver.

During his time with the Giants, he caught the game-winning touchdown during Super Bowl XLII, where they played against the New England Patriots.

The American-born player recorded a successful collegiate career at Michigan State.

Burress ended up playing in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons.

In 2000, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers as eighth overall in the first round of the NFL Draft.

He had played with the Steelers for five seasons, where he appeared in 71 games, and recording 261 receptions for 4,164 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six fumbles.

Burress additionally played for the New York Jets, and later made a comeback to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012 until retirement.
