Phoebe Dynevor is an English actress who gained widespread recognition for her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the popular Netflix period drama series “Bridgerton.”

She is the daughter of Meet Sally Dynevor and Tim Dynevor. Her father Tim Dynevor is a screenwriter known for his work on Emmerdale and her mother Sally Dynevor is an actress best known for her long-running role as Sally Webster on Coronation Street.
Her paternal grandparents were also involved in the television industry, having met while working at Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop. She has a younger brother, Samuel, and a younger sister, Harriet.

Phoebe Dynevor attended Oakfield Nursery School in Altrincham and then Cheadle Hulme School in Stockport, where she earned an A and two Bs in her A Levels while also working as a child actor.
Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2009 and has since undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Sally Dynevor has been an ambassador for the charity ActionAid since 1999. She visited India to raise awareness of the organization.
Sally Dynevor was awarded the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2021 New Year Honours for her contributions to drama. On February 2, 2022, she received her medal at a ceremony at Windsor Castle.
