Peter Tobin was a convicted serial killer and sex offender from Scotland who served a life sentence in HM Prison Edinburgh for three murders committed between 1991 and 2006.

Peter Tobin was born as one of eight siblings in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He had three older brothers and four older sisters.
Tobin was a difficult child who was sent to an approved school when he was seven years old. He allegedly joined the French Foreign Legion before deserting.

Tobin later served time in a borstal and was convicted and imprisoned for burglary and forgery in England in 1970.
Peter Tobin died on October 8, 2022, after becoming ill in the prison. On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, he was transferred from HMP Edinburgh to a hospital, believed to be the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he died, according to sources.
Peter Tobin was serving a life sentence for raping and murdering 23-year-old Polish student Angelika Kluk in 2006 and concealing her body beneath the floor of a Glasgow church.
