Peter Tobin, a convicted serial killer, died on October 8, 2022, after becoming ill in the prison where he was serving three life sentences.

On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, he was transferred from HMP Edinburgh to a hospital, believed to be the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he died, according to sources.
The exact illness he died from has not been made known. Peter Tobin suffered from several health issues whilst he was alive.
Tobin was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on August 9, 2012, after experiencing chest pains and a suspected heart attack at the city’s HM Prison Edinburgh. He was admitted to the hospital again in February 2016 after suffering a suspected stroke.

Tobin was hospitalised after collapsing on January 13, 2022, but was released less than two days later. He was admitted to the hospital again on March 30, 2022, after becoming ill, and was released two days later.
Peter Tobin was serving a life sentence for raping and murdering 23-year-old Polish student Angelika Kluk in 2006 and concealing her body beneath the floor of a Glasgow church.
