Peter B. Scott-Morgan an English-American scientist passed away on 15 June 2022, surrounded by his family. He had motor neuron disease and described himself as a human cyborg. In 2020 he was the subject of Channel 4’s documentary Peter: The Human Cyborg.

Peter’s death was announced by his representatives on Twitter ”To Peter’s amazing rebel supporters: With a broken heart, I’m letting you all know that Peter passed peacefully surrounded by his family, and those closest to him.

He was incredibly proud of all of you who supported him, and his vision of changing the way people see disability. His cause of death was not disclosed. However, it could be linked to his motor neuron disease.
Scott-Morgan attended King’s College School in Wimbledon, where he rose through the ranks to become head boy. He graduated from Imperial College London with a BSc in computing science and a PhD in robotics in 1986, which was the first doctorate conferred by a robotics department in a British university.
