Peter Pellegrini, a Slovak politician, was Slovakia’s prime minister from 2018 to 2020 and its minister of health from December 2019 to March 2020. He was born on October 6, 1975.

Prior to that, he held the positions of deputy prime minister (2016–2018), minister of education and science (2014), and speaker of the national council for two years (2014–2016). Prior to leaving the party and starting Voice – Social Democracy in late June 2020, Pellegrini was a member of Direction – Social Democracy.

He won a seat on the National Council for Direction – Social Democracy (Smer-SD) in the 2006 legislative elections. In the elections of 2010 and 2012, he was re-elected. He held the position of State Secretary for Finance from 2012 to July 3, 2014.
