Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, visited the family of the late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, in a touching gesture of support and condolences.

The burial of the beloved actor took place in his hometown of Ikpogwu Ukehe, Nsukka, Enugu State, with family, friends, and fans gathering to pay their final respects.
During the solemn burial ceremony, Mr. Obi spent time with the actor’s children and their mother, offering comfort and signing the condolence register.
Accompanied by actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo, Peter Obi’s presence was a source of solace for the grieving family.

The funeral service at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe, included prayers for the deceased and his family, with the officiating priest emphasizing the cycle of life and loss.
The emotional ceremony saw tears shed as Junior Pope was laid to rest in his village, surrounded by loved ones and well-wishers.
Security measures were in place to ensure privacy and respect during the funeral, with celebrities like Zubby Michael, Ruby Ojiakor, Linc Edochie, Queen Wokoma, Chinwe Owoh, and Rita Edochie among those in attendance.
Junior Pope, also known as John Paul Odonwodo, tragically lost his life in a boating accident alongside four others on April 10.
