Peter McNab represented the United States at the 1986 IIHF men’s world championships. He is 14th all-time among American players in goals and 21st all-time in points.
Peter McNab retired after the 1986-87 season and returned to the broadcast booth the following year.

McNab worked as an analyst on Devil’s broadcasts for eight years. He then left the Devils to return to Colorado (where he played for the University of Denver) to work as a colour commentator for the Avalanche.
During his time with the Avalanche, McNab established himself as one of the league’s longest-serving analysts.
Peter McNab died on Sunday, November 6 2022. He was 70. Peter McNab was diagnosed with cancer last year. McNab announced in February 2022, that his doctors had told him his cancer was in remission.
